Luka Doncic isn’t just a top-5 player in the NBA, he’s also a top-5 teammate. As a Christmas gift, he had a custom pair of his first signature shoe, the Luka 1s, made for his teammate Dorian Finney-Smith. The catch? The shoes weren’t for DFS, they were for his horse. Working with my friends at Young Hero, we collaborated with Luka’s team and the Jordan Brand to create one of the wildest unboxing moments in sneakerhead history.
Working with a special vendor, we created a “Trojan Horse” that was sneaked into the Dallas Mavericks’ locker room where the grand unveiling happened.
Only two pairs of the Luka 1 Horse Kicks exist: the pair you see below, on Stevie, and another that was put up for auction later that month.
