Inside the NBA, May 7, 2025

Campaign Assets coming soon

In mid-2025, men’s online health company Ro launched a campaign for their weight loss regimen starring Charles Barkley. The beauty of this campaign was that Barkley wasn’t some celebrity shill just looking for a paycheck. Anybody that has followed basketball over the last 20 years can see how much weight he’s lost - no small feat for a man whose nickname was “The Round Mound of Rebound.”

Charles was earnest and forthright about his weight loss journey, contributing interview content for Ro social channels on top of his television campaign.

The highlight of this process (to me), was when Inside the NBA screened one of the spots to contextualize Chuck’s journey, even bringing props from our spot on stage to add their signature levity to an otherwise poignant moment.

As someone who has not only watched Inside the NBA for half my life, but also somehow got away with doing a book report on his memoir Outrageous in 10th grade, this was definitely a career highlight.
